Staying In Your Home

We offer home-based services and supports that can help you remain independent and secure in your own home. The services vary based on an individual's level and type of need. They can be short-term while you recover from an injury or illness, or long-term for many years. The services can range from simple check-ins to more comprehensive ones.

Contact your local Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) or call 1-800-478-9996 to learn about in-home care services in Alaska.

Long-Term Care Facilities

Alaska offers numerous facility-based living options, including adult foster care, assisted living and residential care facilities, nursing facilities, and memory care communities.

Protecting Seniors

Call 1-800-478-9996 if you suspect an adult is being abused. This is a statewide hotline to report abuse or neglect of any adult or child to the Alaska Office of Children's Services (OCS).

Other options:

If you suspect abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation of an elderly person or an adult with physical disabilities, report abuse or neglect to the OCS office in your area.
